The FIFPRO World 11, recognized by the International Federation of Professional Footballers as the annual top 11 male and female footballers, was initially known as the FIFPRO World 11. Established in 2005, this accolade honors the finest footballers as chosen by their peers. In 2009, a partnership between FIFPRO and FIFA led to the renaming of the award to the "FIFA FIFPRO World 11," also known as the FIFA Team of the Year, while maintaining the original voting process. Starting from 2024, FIFPRO will independently manage the award and revert to its original title: the FIFPRO World 11.
The FIFPRO Team of the Year is an exclusive global accolade, exclusively determined by votes from professional soccer players worldwide. The eligibility for the award is based on player performances from August 4, 2025, to July 19, 2026, with a minimum requirement of participation in 30 official matches during this period.
The final lineup of eleven players will include one goalkeeper, three defenders, three midfielders, three forwards, with the remaining spot going to the non-goalie player who receives the highest number of votes.
