The FIFPRO World 11, honoring the finest male and female footballers as chosen by the International Federation of Professional Footballers, represents the annual recognition of the top performers in the sport. This prestigious accolade, originally known as the FIFPRO World 11, was introduced in 2005 to celebrate the excellence of players as voted by their peers. In 2009, a collaboration with FIFA led to a name change to "FIFA FIFPRO World 11," or the FIFA Annual Best Team, while maintaining the same selection process. As of 2024, FIFPRO will independently manage the award, reverting to its original title: FIFPRO World 11.
The FIFPRO Team of the Year, a prestigious accolade chosen exclusively by professional footballers from around the globe, stands as the sole global honor in football that is solely determined by players. The criteria for selecting the nominees are based on their performances from August 4, 2025, to July 19, 2026, with a minimum requirement of participation in 30 official matches during this period.
The ultimate lineup of 11 players will consist of one goalkeeper, three defenders, three midfielders, three forwards, and the additional non-goalkeeper player with the highest vote tally.
