11月2日，据24直播网报道，ESPN资深记者Brian Windhorst与Tim MacMahon在《The Hoop Collective》的播客中深入探讨了休斯顿火箭队中锋史蒂文·亚当斯的健康状况。
"According to MacMahon, upon the completion of the Rockets' deal for Durant, the initial impression was that the team urgently sought a player capable of stepping up in crucial moments. They acquired a Hall of Fame-caliber talent to fill that void, thereby giving them a legitimate shot at a championship. However, when the team embarked on a training camp in the Bahamas, an injury to VanVleet altered the situation. Subsequently, Adams encountered health issues of his own, which further disrupted the team's trajectory. Adams is still dealing with physical challenges. The team aims for him to contribute around 15 to 20 minutes per game in the playoffs, but until then, they plan to carefully manage his health."
